Definetly, the article is certainly a noteworthy topic about the ipad. Although I dot fit in with some minor points in general I?m fully on your way. I?m looking forward to your approaching stories. Just saying thanks for your Gratifying work and writing is an important thing nowadays. Lets see what Steve Jobs might do in the next step. I will immediately come back to stay informed of any updates, and let us both learn what the ipad will do.

well, i see 3 ways on how we can get those speeds in Malaysia
1. The Big friendly giant telco like you said (probably not gonna happen)
2. some other smaller ISP manages to rally up to compete with the giant telco
3. satellite carried broadband i.e.

Hi Awang.. actually it is possible. But we have to be innovative a bit. We can follow the Stockholm model, whereby the incumbent telco lay the main infrastructure all over town (which they already am doing as part of their telco infrastructure) and then there are dozens of smaller ISPs that hook up to the main infra and buy bandwidth wholesale and sell retail to houses and businesses.

Can see the jalan already or not? Ya lah.. people like TM, Digi, TNB or Maxis are probably already doing that (at least in main cities) or as part of HSBB Program.

The problem is that they all prefer to makan sendiri and dislike the idea of sharing the business with others. Who wants to be a big friendly giant (BFF) when you can be a monopoly monster?

You may already know that a standard fibre network can carry 3Gbps of network. Let's say the incumbent Telco apply a 10x sharing (usually more), that mean the network can carry 30Gbps concurrent usage.

I can it can be done. The question is whether they want to or not...

A near impossibility here in Malaysia.
Unless there is an ISP rich/mad enough to lay fiber-optics all throughout Malaysia..
