Posted in Ash Report on 26th April 2007 by Ash

I just learned today of a nice handy tip for Firefox and I thought it wil be nice to share it here.

If you are a regular web user, over period of time you would have accumulated loads of URLs bookmarked. One day, you want to pay a visit to your best friend blog that you have not visited for months. Now… in which folder have you saved it under?

Wouldn’t it be nice to just type in a simple word… say ‘bff blog’ in the URL part and voila … no more searching around. This is what the tip is about.

Yet Another High School Killer

Posted in Ash Report on 20th April 2007 by Ash

Honestly now…. were you shocked out of your wits with this week’s killing at Viginia Tech by that young Korean guy?

Images of A Disturbed Killer

I suspect that when you (including me) first read or heard about the shooting incident, the first instinct reaction was ‘Here we go again, yet another high school killer’.

.commers Gone Space 1999

Posted in Ash Report on 18th April 2007 by Ash

Once upon a time dot-com is an uber catchphrase synonimous with instant millionaires. Nowadays it is looked down as a period of crazy excess and irrational behaviours. Very few people want to be caught dead with a dot com tag on their name.

Have you wondered what happened to all those young entrepreneurs that embraced the dot com dream of 1999? It seemed that most of them have gone Space 1999 (to those young fellows, it’s the ultimate geek-cool TV series in the late 1970s) and disappered under the radar.

Posted in Ash Report on 11th April 2007 by Ash

Posted in Ash Report on 9th April 2007 by Ash

How cool is it if we can be invisible?

Remember ‘The Invisible Man’ (the 1970’s TV series not Kevin Bacon’s recent film), Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak, Batman’s cool bat-mobile in Batman Begin and of course James Bond’s aston martin in ‘Die Another Day’. Or, the Alien in Arnie’s Predator.. or our own Aziz M Osman’s Misi XX Ray.

Alas… they are all fiction and boys’ object of naughty fantasy dreams.

However, as in many things nowaday… scientists appear to take note of film-dom’s sci-fi fantasy and work hard to make it real. Good news boys… apparently the invisible cloak may soon be a reality!

To Infinity and Beyond

Posted in Ash Report on 4th April 2007 by Ash

ToInfinityOn Sunday, I came across postings on the web saying that Yahoo has announced that it plan to give unlimited storage size of their free web mail service account i.e to Infinity size.

Wow, that must be a great news. Right? I mean I can still remember the days when free email account at 10Mb is a big deal.

How’s April Fool?

Posted in Ash Report on 2nd April 2007 by Ash

I personally am not a big fun of April Fool. Most April Fool pranks that I came up with, either (a) cruel to the recipient (b) back fired and get the prankers into big trouble or (c) lame. However, people do seem to continue to do them… so, what the heck. Below are the best and worst of April Fool pranks. Read more »
