Today, Samsung officially launched their latest series of Galaxy devices, the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ at Genting Highlands with more than just a bang. This year also marks the Galaxy series 10th anniversary. To kick off the momentous occasion, Samsung sent out ten Galaxy S10 devices to space, 80,000ft above ground. This was Malaysia’s first ever smartphone brand flight-stunt. Once the phones reach that altitude, it will take a birds-eye shot of the earth using the phone’s powerful camera and HDR10+ video recording capability.

Samsung is also running a contest for locals starting today and ending on the 4th of March to guess where the phones will land. Participants will have a chance to drop a pin on the map, and the participants with the closest pin will win the S10 that entered space to capture images. At least this time you can gloat that your phone has been in space. The contest is known as “Be Unbeaten”, with the link found here:

To refresh your minds, the S10e is equipped with a 5.8-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display. For those that are unaware, the Infinity-O display is Samsung’s solution and name for their display with the pinhole-style camera. The S10e comes with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. As for the cameras, you have a 12-megapixel Wide-angle camera with a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera, coupled with a 10-megapixel front camera. The device is powered with a 3,100mAh battery.

As for the S10, it comes with a 6.1-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display with 8GB of RAM and a choice between 128GB or 512GB of internal storage. The phone does come with a triple-rear camera setup of a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera and topped with a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera. You can also spot a 10-megapixel selfie cam on the device. It also has a larger battery with its 3,400 mAh battery.

Lastly, the star of the show, the S10+. It features a gorgeous 6.4-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display that is HDR10+ capable, similar to the other S10 devices. You have a choice between 8GB or 12GB of RAM with three storage options of 128GB, 512GB and 1TB of internal storage. However, if you wish to get the 1TB storage + 12GB RAM combo, you will have to get the Ceramic Black or Ceramic White variant. The S10+ is slightly more special, instead of four cameras, it features a total of five cameras on the device. It has a triple-rear camera setup of a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera + 12-megapixel telephoto lens and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The remaining two cameras can be found on the front of the device, coming with a 10-megapixel selfie camera and an 8-megapixel RGB Depth camera.

They also announced the price for the new Galaxy buds and the new Galaxy Watch Active.
