Dropping in hot, Samsung is once again taking the mobile world by storm again by announcing their latest device in the Galaxy series, the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e. There are some differences between the three, to equip the market with three devices with varying price points to tackle the specific needs of the consumer. At the official unveiling of the event overseas, they even showcased the Galaxy Fold. However, for today, the star of the show is indeed the aforementioned three devices, and at the local showcase, Samsung invited three major players in the tech journalism industry to talk about the upcoming phones.

First up, we have the Samsung Galaxy S10e, the smallest device of the bunch, but no slouch when it comes to specs. Even being the smallest one of the S10 family, the S10e features a 5.8-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display. The new Infinity-O display is Samsung’s take on a notch-less device but instead shows off a pinhole-type front camera. Speaking of cameras, the S10e comes with a dual-rear camera setup of 12-megapixel Wide-angle camera + 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 10-megapixel selfie camera. It is also packaged with a 3,100mAh camera with 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

The next phone off the list, the Samsung Galaxy S10 also makes an appearance and sports a 6.1-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display. Similar to the S10e, just with a larger screen. But unlike the dual-rear camera setup of the S10e, it features a Triple-rear camera setup of a 12-megapixel telephoto camera + 12-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel selfie camera. The new cameras of the S10 series can record HDR10+, 4K UHD at 60fps and slow-motion 720p videos at 960fps. The S10 does have a larger battery of 3,400 mAh with 8GB of RAM and a choice between 128GB or 512GB of internal storage.

Lastly, we have the Samsung Galaxy S10+. A beefy phone, rivalling even the Note series in sheer size with its 6.4-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display. With a large display, comes the need for a large battery, and it does not let down with its 4,100 mAh battery that can double up as a charger for other Samsung devices with Wireless PowerShare. Continuing with the specs, the phone is beefed up with a choice between 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and three storage options of 128GB, 512GB and 1TB of internal storage. If 1TB is still not enough, you can expand your storage with a microSD card of up to 512GB. The S10+ also has the same triple-rear camera setup of 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel + 16-megapixel cameras, and a new dual-front camera setup with its 10-megapixel + 8-megapixel RGB depth camera.

The S10 series devices are HDR10+ certified and come equipped with other features such as Scene Optimizer, Shot Suggestion and Flaw Detection on the cameras, alongside the usual shooting modes such as food, panorama, Live focus, Hyperlapse, Slow motion and super slow-mo. The AR Emoji makes its return as well. The previously mentioned Wireless PowerShare allows the phone to charge other devices wirelessly. For example, the newly introduced Galaxy Buds can be charged by placing the earbuds (with the case) on the back of the phone and it’ll charge them. You can also charge the Galaxy Watch using that method as well.

The phones will be packaged with Android 9 and will run on Samsung’s One UI. They are IP68 rated as well, so rain, sweat, tears and dust will not be of issue to the phones. The Bixby button also makes a return to the dismay of some people. As for unlocking options, you have the usual Face Recognition and Fingerprint sensor. The S10e features a side fingerprint sensor, while the S10 and S10+ are equipped with an on-screen Ultrasonic Fingerprint sensor.

The three phones come with four colours of Prism White, Prism Black, Prism Green and Prism Blue. The S10e has a unique Canary Yellow colour option, while the S10+ has two ceramic variants (Ceramic White and Ceramic Black). The Ceramic variants are the ones with 12GB of RAM and 512GB or 1TB of storage.
