Low Cost Printing

Even with the evolution of media and print, there’s one thing that hasn’t really changed when it comes to function, which is the printer. Whether it comes to businesses or education, a printer is still heavily relied on by students, teachers, and the salaryman. Ranging from important documents to students’ assignments and test papers, everyone still goes back to their trusty ol’ A4 fed printer.

While the importance of printing has not changed, over the years, manufacturers have strived to improve the printing experience of users. And now you can get features usually found on the premium printers of the yesteryears on low cost printers. The Canon Pixma Ink Efficient E4270 is another means to that end, designed to provide affordable wireless printing at a low running cost. That’s right, wireless printing at an affordable price, and with the advent of mobile devices like tablets, notebooks, and smartphones, the ability to provide wireless printing is a huge boon.

Using the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app which can be found on both iOS and Google Play Store, your devices can easily send documents and such to the printer for simple and quick printing of important or essential documents. All it took was a few taps here and there and we got the printer doing what we needed. But printing isn’t the only thing it is capable of. If you’re an art student, a scanner is sometimes required. The E4270 comes with its own scanner, so you at least have that extra feature ready if you ever need it for scanning or photocopying.

Printed material came out satisfactory during our tests, putting the printer to the task of printing pages with just text, images and both together. Text is crisp and clean while images are decent for basic usage, but if you’re looking for professional usage, we’d recommend something meant to print professional level images. Finally, you can print up to 400 pages on a single ink cartridge before needing a replacement cartridge, which doesn’t even cost a lot.

CHIP CONCLUDE: The Canon Pixma Ink Efficient E470 is an amazing printer to have in your home or office for low print volumes and everyday use.
