When the first Razer Phone was announced, it broke the internet and the phone market with its 120Hz display that vastly tops the bar for phone displays in terms of refresh rate that is. However, with the Razer Phone 2, the company took in feedback from users and fans – to improve on sections that can be improved. While not the perfect phone, it was still a major improvement from the previous device. Now the phone is (finally) available in Malaysia, let’s take a quick look at what it offers.

The phone is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be upgraded with a microSD card of up to 1TB. With this alone, gaming would be a breeze and most mobile games will pose no issue to the phone. To up the ante, the phone is equipped with 5.72-inch IGZO LCD 120HZ UltraMotion display. While the market for a 120Hz mobile game might not be massive, your gaming experience will still be buttery smooth.

Not to mention, watching videos either from Netflix or YouTube will be seamless and glorious. Razer also incorporated the ability to watch Netflix shows and movies in HDR as well. To keep your phone running and powered throughout the day, be it gaming or watching videos, it is equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery and comes packed with Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0+ and wireless charging capabilities as well.

For the cameras, you have a dual rear camera setup of a wide 12-megapixel lens with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) and a telephoto 12-megapixel lens. When shooting videos on the rear camera, you can shoot in 4K as well! For the front camera, you have an 8-megapixel shooter that will be able to tackle all your selfie needs. It even comes with beautification modes to make your selfies look smoother and gorgeous! The phone is also IP67 rated so rain, sweat and even tears will pose no issues to the device.

Another major selling point of the device is with its front-facing speakers. The phone features a no notch and hefty bezel approach to accommodate the speakers that are even louder than the previous Razer Phone. Last but not least, the phone is jam-packed with Razer features and technologies such as Razer Cortex that organises all your mobile games and can even optimise the game’s performance. We also have Razer Chroma on the phone that can change the colour of the Razer logo, and if you enable it to display notifications, it can glow green for Whatsapp, glow yellow for Snapchat and glow blue for Facebook.
