Acer as a whole had a great 2018, with some wonderful products ranging from laptops to monitors, and to finish up the year, they even managed to sneak in a few more products to further extend their offerings to their consumers with the new Acer Swift 3, Swift 5, Aspire 5, Predator Orion 3000, Acer ED323QURA monitor, Acer ET322QK monitor and a new TravelMate X514. With that said, we’ll be listing the specs of the newly announced devices, starting with the Acer Swift 3.
Acer’s Swift series are laptops designed to be slim and powerful, and the new Acer Swift 3 is no different. Packaged with a few configurations, it can go up to an Intel Core i7-8586U, 8GB of RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD, Intel UHD Graphics 620 or a dedicated graphics with NVIDIA MX150. The Swift 3 also features a 14-inch Full HD IPS display along with a 3,220 mAh battery to keep it powered for up to 12 hours, all packed into a slim laptop. The Swift 5 was also shown, weighing in at only 990g, the 15.9mm thick laptop houses a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS touch display, and 512GB of SSD. Currently, we do not have the full specs for the Swift 5, and more will be known closer to release date.
Up next, we have the Acer Aspire 5. It spots an Intel Core i5-8265U or Intel Core i7-8565U with two storage options of 1TB HDD or 1TB HDD + 128GB SSD, 4GB of RAM and NVIDIA MX150 GPU. The display on the Aspire is slightly larger with its 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display, and it features a 3,220 mAh battery as well. The Lava Red colour variant is pretty eye-catching!
The last laptop of day is the Acer TravelMate X514 and it also comes with a few configurations. It is powered with an Intel Core i5-8265U or an Intel Core i7-8565U processor with up to 512GB of NVME storage, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and Intel UHD Graphics 620 and runs on Windows 10 Pro. It is equipped with a 14-inch Full HD IPS display with multi-touch capabilities.
Onto the monitors, the Acer ED323QURA is a 31.5-inch 2K monitor with 144Hz of refresh rate and supports AMD FreeSync. The monitor is curved and comes with plenty Acer technologies such as Acer VisionCare and BlueLight Shield to protect your eyes while using the monitor. As for the Acer ET322QK, it is a 4K monitor with 60Hz of refresh rate, but this particular model is aimed at console gamers, especially with the HDMI 2.0 and HDR Support. It is also a 31.5-inch display with 4ms of response time.
Lastly, the Predator Orion 3000. The smallest brother of the Orion series, the Orion 3000 is miniature compared to the others. Packaged with a few configurations as well, it features an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processor with up to 16GB of RAM right out of the box, but it can be configured to house up to 64GB of RAM. Storage wise, it can fit up to 3TB of HDD, 512GB of SSD and 512GB of NVMe SSD. You can still find a DVD drive on the desktop, and can house a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card.
As mentioned previously, the Acer Swift 5 will arrive in Malaysia soon. The Acer Swift 3 is priced at RM3,599 and RM4,399 for the i5 and i7 variant respectively. As for the Acer Aspire 5, it is priced at RM2,699 for the i5 variant, and RM3,599 for the i7 variant. Both the Acer ED323QURA and Acer ET322QK is priced at RM1,499, and the Acer TravelMate X514 retails at RM4,499(i5 + 256GB SSD), RM4,699 (i5 + 512GB SSD) and RM4,699 (i7 + 512GB SSD). Last but not least, the Predator Orion 3000 can be purchased at RM3,999 for the i5+ model, while the Core i7 variant is priced at RM5,399. Most of the announced models are available to purchase from Acer authorised stores and retailers.
