Today, Acer launched not just one, but four new devices within their Veriton, TravelMate and Chromebook Spin series. Just in time for Christmas, so you can maybe get one of these new devices for your loved ones.
First up, we have the Veriton N4660G, a mini PC that comes packaged with a few configurations and it is modular as well. For example, if you require a DVD drive or a SD reader, you can purchase them from Acer and add them on yourself. As mentioned, it is a mini PC, so you can either store it vertically on the provided stand, or fasten them onto the back of a monitor that is VESA mount capable as it is bundled with a VESA mounting kit. Currently the Veriton N4660G comes with two configurations of Intel Core i3-8100 or Intel Core i5-8500, 4GB of RAM that can be upgraded to up to 32GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, 1TB HDD, and runs on Windows 10 Pro. An Acer USB Keyboard and Optical mouse is also packaged with the mini PC, so all you’ll need is a monitor.
We were then introduced to the Veriton Z series, an All-In-One desktop setup, complete with a monitor as well. It is also introduced in Malaysia with two configurations of an Intel Core i3-8100 or Intel Core i5-8400. It has 4GB of DDR4 RAM right out of the box, but it can be upgraded to 32GB if you wish. For all your graphical needs, it is built with an Intel UHD Graphics 630, along with a 1TB HDD to store all your files. As mentioned, it is an AIO and it has a 21.5-inch Full HD display and an integrated webcam that can be popped out of its housing when you need to use it and slot it back when you don’t, perfect for office conditions. To make it even sweeter, the camera can be rotated for conference calls, which is helpful if you need to present projects with your team.
Next up and probably one of the major draws for us, a new Acer Chromebook. This time, it is the Chromebook Spin 13, and as the name suggests, it can be used in a few ways, either in Tent Mode for watching movies, or used with a keyboard just like a regular laptop. Also packaged with the Chromebook is a Wacom stylus that allows you to draw, take notes and so on with the Chromebook. The bottom of the keyboard has a special housing just to fit the stylus that requires no battery to function. The Chromebook is the latest and the most powerful Chromebook in the market right now, sporting an Intel Core i5-8250U processor, 8GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. You can also spot a 13.5-inch QHD IPS display on the device, and it runs on Chrome OS, with a plethora of apps and games available for you. It also boasts a battery life of up to 10 hours, perfect to be brought around for a day’s work.
Lastly, we have the new Acer TravelMate X3310, a device for professionals that take their work on the go. It is packaged with an Intel Core i5-8250U processor, with a whopping 8GB of RAM, a 256GB M.2 SSD, and runs on Windows 10 Pro as well. It has a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display with Acer ComfyView to reduce eyestrain when you are working for long hours. Being a laptop made for professionals, it has plenty of ports, sporting a USB Type-C port, SD Card Reader, VGA port, HDMI port and LAN port as well on the sides. According to Acer, the device can last up to 15 hours on a full charge, and that should be sufficient for you to last the whole day or for a flight.
