Loud And Clear, Over

Communication is such an important part of not just life, but even life in cyberspace. The world is being connected with each other day by day, and VoIP (Voice-over-IP) is becoming much more popular by the day. This helps connect not just gamers, but also family and loved ones with each other. To be sure every word and nuance gets across clearly, you’ll need to have a good microphone to ensure everyone will be happy at the end of the day.

There aren’t many options locally when it comes to microphones unless you aim to get professional ones from brands like Behringer, Samson, Alctron and even Audio Technica or Shure. Recently a popular brand would be Blue, which are known for their Yeti and Snowball microphones, but those aren’t readily available here. Now, ASUS has introduced the ROG Strix Magnus microphone aimed towards gamers.

We would also recommend this microphone to streamers thanks to the different modes that it possesses, which are Cardioid, Stereo and ENC. This means you can change the microphones settings to best suit you, be it recording as a single streamer or as a group. The recording quality with the mic is great as friends could easily tell the difference between using a built-in mic on a headphone and the clarity that comes from using a microphone like the Magnus.

Picking up from where we left off earlier, ENC stands for Environmental Noise Cancelling. It prevents mouse clicks and keyboard keystrokes from being picked up by the microphone, so if you have a very clicky keyboard and mouse then this might be a good setting to try out. Setup is easy as well, just plug it in and you should be able to use it without needing to install anything. Switching between modes just requires you to just flip the switch. Finally, the Magnus is also Aura Sync capable. Now, you can even add the microphone to your entire RGB setup.

CHIP CONCLUDE: The Magnus is a stylish portable microphone with different modes that will suit the different needs of the user.
