This weekend marks a momentous tournament for ESL and CS:GO, as the top teams challenge each other in yet another tournament just a few weeks after the FACEIT Major that was held in London. Of the eight teams that will be coming against each other, only NRG Esports did not make it to London. The teams will also be fighting for a piece of the prize pool that is worth $250,000 USD!
The teams are made up of: FaZe Clan, Fnatic, G2 Esports, Team Liquid, mousesports, Natus Vincere, Gambit Esports and the aforementioned NRG Esports. Na’Vi made it to the finals of FACEIT, so we can expect them to have a strong showing in this tournament if they are not exhausted jumping from tournament to tournament that is.
MSI, one of the major sponsors for ESL One also makes an appearance, sponsoring plenty of goodies and tournament gear for the competition no doubt. MSI will also be showing off some new components such as the MSI Z370 GAMING PLUS motherboard, a board jam-packed with gaming features, and the MSI GeForce RTX 2080 GAMING X TRIO that comes with a new TRI-FROZR design that will keep the card cool while you are heavily gaming with its enhanced airflow design.
While ESL One is going, MSI’s MGA 2018 (MSI GAMING ARENA) will also be happening on the same time, touting a prize pool of $60,000! Only four teams managed to claw their way to this tournament and they are: compLexity Gaming, eUnited, AVANGAR and Movistar Riders. The teams had to battle it out in their Qualifiers to reach MGA. The MGA games will take place before ESL One matches, so fan can tune in to both games without worries.
The MGA matches will be taken on with full MSI gear such as MSI Infinite X Gaming Desktops and MSI Oculux NXG251 Monitors. The matches will also be livestreamed via the MSI GE73 Raider RGB Gaming Laptop. Do try to catch the matches live and support your favourite CS:GO teams.
