The Budget Buddy
If you’re looking for a smartphone with all the stamina and power to last you throughout the day, while still being able to fit in some game time, maybe the ZenFone Max Pro M1 would be the perfect companion for you. Especially since the ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes at an incredibly reasonable price.
To begin, the phone comes with a 6-inch display in a 5.5-inch body, how is that possible you ask? ASUS uses its very own Full View Display technology and throws in a 2160×1080 Full HD+ resolution for greater visuals. The body is built from solid metal but keeps its portability by being incredibly light at just 180g. Furthermore, the body is slim and has a great feel in hand, although single-hand use might be tougher for those with smaller hands.
Powering the phone is a gargantuan 5,000mAh battery that is incredible at this price point. When using it for daily activities like texting, calls, and light web browsing, the phone can easily last two days on a single charge, maybe even three. Also, while it has a huge capacity, the phone charges even faster than some phones with smaller capacities, with a full charge complete in approximately 3 hours.
Along with a large battery, the phone also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in memory. The performance speaks for itself during usage, as everything moves along smoothly from menu-to-menu, or while launching apps. You’ll be able to play games like Mobile Legends and PUBG Mobile with no problems, but don’t really expect to play the most demanding of games without sacrificing a little bit of performance.
Finally, ASUS has put a lot of effort into creating the best camera experience by implementing an advanced dual-camera system, capable of 4K UHD recording and Full HD 60fps recording. On this specific model, the rear camera consists of a 13MP primary lens and secondary 5MP lens, while on the front you’ll find an 8MP camera. Both the front and rear cameras are excellent at taking photos in most situations, and has great depth of field when it comes to portrait style pictures.
CHIP CONCLUDE: At the price the ZenFone Max Pro M1 is placed at, you’re getting a whole lot from it, and we believe it’s a good choice as a budget phone.
