The first thing you would notice on the monitor is that it comes packed with an 1800R curvature, allowing you to easily immerse yourself in the virtual world. As mentioned, it comes with three different screen size, so you can easily pick the one that works best for you. It also features a 144Hz of Refresh Rate, and 1ms of response time, making the monitor the perfect companion for all your n00b killing needs. Sporting FreeSync capabilities, you can improve your gaming experience with enhanced smoothness and reduced screen tearing when paired together with an AMD GPU.

As for the other specs, it has a 178-degree viewing angle, a 3000:1 contrast ratio, and chockful of other technologies such as Anti-Flicker Technology, Blue Light Reduction and a new Gaming OSD App that allows you tweak the settings of the monitor with a click of a button.

One of the major features that we’re saving for last – SteelSeries Game Sense. Yes you heard that right! Under the screen of the monitor, you can spot RGB lights at the bottom of the monitor itself. By pairing it with a game such as CS:GO, you can use it to highlight the amount of bullets you have left, or the amount of HP you have. It is also the first monitor to be equipped with Game Sense. With this, you can roughly gauge the amount of ammo you have left at the corner of your eye, just by judging the lighting on the monitor. A nifty feature for games that support it.

They showcased the monitor in a three monitor setup and a single monitor setup. With the multi monitor setup, you can enjoy a seamless and close to bezel-less experience as the curve of monitor allows it to be gap-less, as with standard monitors, you will have gaps that could break your immersion. The monitor has also won two awards!

According to an MSI rep that we spoke to, the MPG24C will be coming to Malaysia at a later date, and at a surprisingly affordable price of roughly RM1,100. A small step in the monitor market, but definitely a large and acceptable step from the MSI team.
