Today, we were introduced to a three new fantastic MSI laptops that are equipped with the latest Intel 8th Gen processors, keeping themselves ahead of the curve and ahead of the competition. The event took place at the MSI Flagship store that is located opposite the main entrance of Lowyat Plaza. Even babyoling, MSI’s latest ambassador made an appearance and played a round of PUBG with the new laptops.
One of the laptops that were shown off was the GE Raider RGB Edition. Previously announced at CES, The GE63/73 Raider RGB Edition’s design was inspired by fast, high-flying, sports cars. It is now improved to showcase your love for RGB and exotic cars. Up to 24 separate zones can be configured to show off the RGB lighting with more than 16.8 million colours. As mentioned, the GE Raider RGB Edition can be configured with up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 card. As for the display, you can configure it to have a 120Hz, 3ms TN Panel. Along with MSI Cooler Boost 5, the GE Raider can be a gaming monster for all your gaming needs.
The other laptop that got its debut is the GT75 Titan. It is a “titan” of a laptop, and is almost as thick as two regular laptops. It is the first gaming laptop to have the capabilities of fitting in an 8th Gen Intel Core i9 with unlocked hexa-core performance. According to MSI, combined with their advance MSI Cooler Boost, the six-core, 12-thread configuration boasts a 70% increase in performance over the last Core i7. The extra cores will also benefit you when you are multitasking on the laptop. This laptop sports a 17.3-inch display, which can be configured to either a Full HD, 120Hz & 3ms display, or an Ultra HD 4K IPS display.
The star of the show is the brand-new GS65 Stealth Thin. As the name suggests, it is a magnificently thin laptop measuring at just 17.7mm thick, and incredibly light as well, as it weighs only a meagre 1.8kgs. Aside from being slim, it flaunts a 144Hz, 7ms IPS display with 4.9mm bezels on the side, allowing you to see more on a smaller body. But worry not, as a webcam can still be found on the top of the display. It also features dashing gold accents throughout the design of the laptop. For the ones that want to game while looking swanky, it can be equipped with up to a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 card with NVIDIA Max-Q technology. Processor wise, it can be configured up to an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor. The laptop also packs a hefty 8+ hour battery life on the device, allowing you to game and work without much worries.
The keyboards on these laptops are designed by SteelSeries and they feature per-key RGB so you can customise each key to your liking. MSI also introduced the new Dragon Center 2.0 that was recently re-hauled. The new gaming mode will now optimise your system’s performance while gaming, and if your game is in Dragon Centre, it will even light-up according to your actions in game. For example, when playing DotA 2, the keys will light up to showcase the hero’s skill. While FPS games such as PUBG will highlight the number keys and WASD keys.
Starting today, you can head on to MSI’s site to pre-order the GT75 Titan and GE63 Raider RGB. Depending on the configuration that you purchase, you can even stand a chance to get a special bundle with either a Limited Edition Lucky Dragon Doll or a SteelSeries Siberia V2 Headset. As for the GS65 Stealth Thin, it will be available sometime this month.
