Today, HyperX announced a brand-new ambassador for their products, Joel Embiid, an NBA superstar. Joel plays as center for the Philadelphia 76ers, and when he is not blocking opponents and dunking on them, he dunks on them virtually. An avid gamer, Joel can often be seen playing NBA2K18 during his off time. Joel said: “When I’m not playing basketball, I’m gaming. HyperX headsets are extremely comfortable and the audio quality is amazing. They help me do what I love to do, win.”
Joel also known as The Process, is not the first name in the NBA to be associated with HyperX. Other players such as Gordon Hayward who plays for the Boston Celtics and De’Aaron Fox, who plays for the Sacramento Kings are to name a few. HyperX also has a variety of ambassadors within the gaming community, teams such as Team Dignitas and Cloud 9 (recently won ELEAGUE Major in CS:GO). Even Daigo Umehara, the legendary fighting game player is sponsored by HyperX.
HyperX, the gaming division of Kingston Technology mentioned: “Skilled as a pro basketball player and recognised as an esports social media star, we welcome Joel to the HyperX family as a brand ambassador for gaming. We’re looking forward to including Joel in our activities in 2018.” Joel was also named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the games played between 5th of February to 11th of February. On that week, Joel and the team clinched three back-to-back victories against the Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans and LA Clippers. In all three games, Joel scored more than 20 points for his team.
HyperX is a household name when it comes to peripherals. They’re most notable for their headsets and headphones. But they do dabble in other peripherals such as gaming mouse, mouse mats, and keyboards. You can check out the video from HyperX starring Joel Embiid here.
