vivo, a big name in Malaysia for its selfie-centric phones, has come out with yet another device to make your jaw drop. We have wondered when the V7 will drop in Malaysia as the V7+ was announced a while back, but the V7 was weirdly omitted back then.
The V7 comes with a 5.7-inch IPS display on a 149.3 x 72.8 x 7.9 mm body, which usually houses a 5.2-inch screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage that can be upgraded with a microSD card for up to 256GB. As for the cameras, the main selling point of vivo devices, it sports a 24-megapixel front camera and a 16-megapixel rear camera setup. Both cameras are also equipped with f2.0 aperture.
You can fit up to 3 cards in the SIM slot – two nano SIM cards and one microSD card. It is also powered with a 3,000 mAh battery and is running on vivo’s proprietary OS, Funtouch OS 3.2, which is based on Android 7.1.
During the event at Zouk KL, vivo invited Arthur Chen, the Editor of Digital Photographer Magazine and Wesley Wong, X-RITE Coloratti Master to talk about the advantages and the quality that you would get when using the V7 as your main camera.
Janna Nick, the ambassador for vivo V7+ said that “Staying active on social media is an act to keep my fans updated on my journey as a public figure in Malaysia. With the FullView Display and 24-megapixel front-facing camera, vivo V7 is a perfect device for a selfie lover as it gets the job done in one shot. It’s leading my life journal towards perfection.”
The vivo V7 comes in Crown Gold, and Matte Black. The Matte Black features a full body black design throughout the phone, while the Crown Gold sports a gold design on the back of the phone, with white around the front of the phone. The V7 is currently only on pre-orders until the 24th of November at Lazada. After that it will be available to purchase from vivo concept stores or authorised stores. The device is priced at a low RM 1,299.
