Yesterday, HP dazzled us with an invitation to witness the launch of some brand-new products that are not even available in the market yet, such as the new HP Spectre 13, a new HP Spectre x360, an improved Sprocket with the HP Sprocket 2-in-1, and more.
Koh Kong Meng, the Managing Director for Southeast Asia and Korea for HP Inc said: “In the last 24 months, HP has been laying the foundations for long term and sustainable growth in Southeast Asia, by focusing on building a robust product portfolio, delivery customer outcomes and enhancing security innovation.” While Kym Lim, the Managing Director of Malaysia for HP Inc. chimed in and mentions that HP will continue their pursuit of perfecting mobile printing and developing PCs to meet the needs of One Life, the blend between work and life.
The new HP Spectre 13 is the world’s thinnest touch laptop. It comes with a 4K Display, louder audio, improved with Intel’s 8th Gen processors compared to the older iteration of Spectre 13, up to 16GB of DDR3 and 1TB of SSD. It is built from CNC aluminium and carbon fibre, and comes in Ceramic White or Pale Gold. The Spectre 13 can last up to 11.5 hours, and with HP Fast Charge, you can get from 0 to 50 in just 30 minutes of charge.
As for the Spectre x360, HP quotes that it is the convertible with the longest battery life. It comes with Intel 8th Gen processors, up to 16GB of DDR3 and up to 1TB of SSD, a 13-inch 4K display with an option to add privacy screen, and can last up to 16.5 hours on battery. It comes with two colour variations of Natural Silver and Dark Ash Silver. A fingerprint reader can be found on the side of the device, and with HP Sure View, you can keep whatever you’re browsing or writing a secret from others with a click of a button, eliminating visual hacking.
The HP Sprocket 2-in-1 is similar to the previous HP Sprocket, but this time, it comes with instant photo printing capabilities. You can still snap pictures from your smartphone and deliver it to the Sprocket for printing, but you can also take pictures with the camera and have it print out instantly. Now you can print your selfies and wefies whenever and wherever.
They also showcased the HP ZBook x2, a detachable PC that allows you to design, draw and create without any limits. It is the world’s first detachable workstation, and is capable of delivering up to 73% better performance compared to the Surface Pro with its quad-core Intel Core processors. You can even dock the ZBook x2 to two 4K displays, or five total displays. On the workstation itself, it comes with a 14-inch 4K multi-touch display with an optional 10-bit, one-billion colour HP DreamColor display calibrated to 100% of Adobe RGB. It can last up to 10 hours on battery, and can be recharged to 50% in just 30 minutes. You can equip it with up to 2.4 GHz of Intel Turbo Boost, and 32GB of RAM, with 2TB of storage.
Two devices in the EliteBook series were also premiered, with EliteBook X360 1020 G2 and EliteBook 1040 G4, which gives you phenomenal performance, the best features and can withstand harsh environments. There will also be a few new products within the A3 printer series as well.
Currently, most of the devices are pegged for either a release come December of 2017, or early 2018. We have not been given any exact dates or prices, so stay tuned for further updates on the prices or availability of these tempting HP devices.
