Earlier today, Motorola Mobility launched its latest smartphones in Malaysia – the Moto G5S Plus and Moto X4. The first is a variant of the G5 Plus that’s a straight upgrade, while the X4 is a premium device with a classy design. Both sport a dual-camera setup that can do 4K video recording.
Even with the competition, Moto has been able to do relatively well for itself in recent months, owing to the stable performances of its devices. The G5S Plus continues on this by providing consumers with an affordable device with great features and looks. It comes with a 13-megapixel dual camera at the back that, with the photo enhancement software installed in the device, makes it possible for users to create some interesting photos and effects. An example is the selective black and white mode, which allows the user to choose which part of the picture retains colour or not.
Besides that, the G5S Plus comes with a full metal body framing a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, 4GB of RAM and has 32GB of internal storage. With its 3,000 mAh battery, it’ll also reliably last for most of the day, depending on use.
On the higher end is the Moto X4, a device meant for those who want a premium device. Its sleek, glass and metal body is made of aluminium to keep it light, while the watch-dial design around the rear camera gives it an extra luxurious look. Its dual rear setup combines a 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel camera, while the front is a 16-megapixel shooter with adaptive low-light mode. It’s also equipped with IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 630 processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Both devices are now available for purchase, at RM999 for the G5S Plus and RM1,899 for the X4. For those who purchase the G5S Plus via Lazada Malaysia, they’ll also get special freebies worth RM587 as well. The G5S Plus comes in Lunar Grey and Blush Gold, while the X4 be in Super Black and Sterling Blue colours.
