Today, Samsung launched the Galaxy Note8 in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. However, this is not an ordinary launch as Samsung decided to make a huge showing by bringing in Song Ji-Hyo – actress, model and a member of the main cast for Running Man. Fans were waiting for her arrival in Pavilion since 7 a.m., prior to the mall opening.
Mr. Liew Kian Meng, the Head of IT and Mobile Business for Samsung Malaysia Electronics introduced the features of the Note8 to the impatient and roaring crowd. After his opening speech, Mr. Julian Thean, the Head of Product Marketing, IT and Mobile Business for Samsung Malaysia Electronics then delved deeper into the specs of the device.
The Galaxy Note8 comes with a gigantic 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, powered with a 64bit 10nm processor, 6GB of RAM, a choice of 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, dual-sim capabilities, and a 3,300 mAh battery equipped with Fast Charging as well as Wireless Charging. As for the camera, it is equipped with dual rear cameras, a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. For the front camera, it sports an 8-megapixel shooter. The Note8 is also IP68 rated, so you can safely take your device in the rain. You can even make notes on the device while it is wet!
Despite the 3,300 mAh battery, the device is still one that people should look forward to, simply due to the S Pen. The Note8 comes with new and useful features such as the Screen Off Memo and Live Message to encourage people to increase the usage of the S Pen more. With Screen Off Memo, simply remove the pen and you can jot down your notes on the screen without waking the device, and you can draft up to 100 pages of notes or scribbles.
A roar from the crowd was then heard all over the mall, as Miss Song Ji-Hyo makes her way to the stage. She then talks about her habit of taking notes, and that is an important feature and it is much easier to take notes with the S Pen now as it as natural as taking notes on a notebook. Some lucky fans even managed to snag a picture with her during the presentation. With adoring fans all over Pavilion, she managed to woo the hearts of ladies and men in Malaysia. The first 100 pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy Note8 even managed to get a phone cover signed by her.
With that said, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 is available to purchase now from Samsung distributors and authorised sellers, and retails at RM3,999. It comes in three colour options – Midnight Black, Orchid Gray and Maple Gold. The Galaxy Note8 Roadshow is also happening throughout the country – In Pavilion (Kuala Lumpur), AEON Tebrau City (Johor Bahru) and Gurney Plaza (Penang). The Roadshow starts today and ends on the 24th of September 2017. If you wish to get your hands on a Galaxy Note8 or wish to try it before making the purchase, do make your way to the said locations, as there might be additional goodies that you can get if you buy it on the spot.
