Today we were invited to the launch of several nubia products in Malaysia, namely the nubia M2, M2 Lite, N1 Lite and Z11. That’s plenty of devices to kick-off their presence in Malaysia. Also, we were informed that the great Cristiano Ronaldo is the brand ambassador for nubia and had hopes of meeting him, but sadly that was not to be. At least we got a sneak peek for the Z17, which is nubia’s flagship device for 2017 slated to arrive on our shores in the very near future.
YB Senator Datuk Chong Sin Woon, the Deputy Minister of Education, was present during the launch and he gave a short speech on how mobile technology is affecting Malaysians in today’s world. He mentioned that 98% of 15 years and above use mobile phones and that Malaysians spend an average of 5 hours a day on the internet. These numbers prove that most Malaysians are not able to survive without their mobile phones, as they are a part of us and that it is important for us to keep in touch with others, an important part of our social lives.
One of the devices, the nubia M2 is powered with a Snapdragon 625, equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. The M2 features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a 3,630 mAh battery. Camera wise, the M2 sports a dual 13-megapixel rear camera with nubia’s NeoVision technology to boost up your photography game to expert levels. As for the nubia M2 Lite, it is a toned-down version of the M2, with a MT6750 Octa-Core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of ROM, as well as a 13-megapixel rear camera and 16-megapixel front camera.
As for the N1 Lite, it has a 5.5-inch A-SI HD display, and will be powered by a MTK 6737 processor, 2GB of RAM and come with 16GB of internal storage. You will also have a 3,000 mAh battery to power your daily use, plus an 8-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front camera to top off the device.
Saving the best for last, the Z11 is brought into the Malaysian market due to popular demand worldwide. This smartphone will be powered with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. On the camera side of things, it has a 16-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera for all your selfie desires. A 5.5-inch bezel-less display can be found on the phone, which comes equipped with Gorilla Glass 3.
The nubia M2 and M2 Lite will be coming in two colour variants, Black Gold and Champagne Gold. They will be retailing at RM 1,699 and RM 1,099 respectively. As for the N1 Lite, it comes in Black Gold and will cost a low price of RM599, while the more premium Z11 will cost you RM1,899.
