The star of the show, the ThinkPad P51s is built with a 7th Generation Intel core i7-7600U, a NVIDIA Quadro M520M 2GB GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 512GB NVME of storage space and will be running on Windows 10 Pro that comes bundled with the whole package. Display wise, it comes with a few choices for its 15.6-inch screen, namely a choice between Full HD IPS display, Full HD IPS Touch display, or a 4K Ultra HD IPS display. This device is touted with an extreme battery life, with up to 10 Cells (104 WHr, that’s roughly 17 hours of power) to keep your workstation powered throughout the day. The external batteries on this device can also be hot-swapped so you don’t have to worry about running out of juice when you are out and about, and it is also ISV-certified as well.

On the show floor we were also presented with the other devices such as the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ThinkPad X1 Yoga, ThinkPad 13, and countless others. But Lenovo has mentioned that the products they displayed on that day were given refreshes that benefits new buyers, as the new devices are fitted with the latest 7th gen Intel Core processors. This will certainly entice more consumers, especially for office use with their ThinkCentres and ThinkPads.

As for the ThinkPad P51s, it will soon be available to purchase starting mid-July 2017, and is priced at RM 6,999 from authorised Lenovo resellers. If you are in the market for a workstation that’s capable of Autodesk AutoCAD, SolidWorks and so much more, this could just be the one to purchase, with a gorgeous look to boot!
