Yesterday, we were graced with the announcement of the Moto G5 Plus on local shores, and available for pre-order from Lazada Malaysia now. It is the fifth iteration of the G series from Moto, and comes with a few tricks up its sleeve for people who aspire to be different than the rest.
On the specifications side of things, it flaunts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 2.0 GHz processor, and comes with 32GB of storage space, 4GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. It also sports a 13.2-inch Full HD IPS screen, for all your media desires. Built into the phone is also a 3,000 mAh battery, which should last you a full day if you do not overconsume media, and even if you do, a 15-minute charge is all it requires to run for 6 hours, all thanks to the new TurboPower charger that’s included in this package.
If 32GB of storage is insufficient for you, you can top it up with a SD 128GB microSD card. Unlike normal dual sim phones, you can include 2 sim-cards on the device, and an additional SD card, totalling up to three cards on the device at one time!
It also comes with Android 7.0 OS installed, with no bloatware, so all you get is the vanilla Android experience, with nothing else slowing your system down. Onwards to the specifics of the camera, the G5 Plus has a Pro Mode built into it, allowing you to change the ISO and other settings. Aside from that, it also come with a beautification mode which automatically smoothens your face by reducing wrinkles and blemishes when taking selfies, and with the help of the Best Shot feature, your pictures will no longer be ruined with closed eyes.
Other features include a fingerprint reader for easy access, and some unique customisation options under Moto Options. With the options enabled, you can “Twist” your phone when held in your hands to trigger its camera, or twist again to switch the camera view to the front camera. Another unique function that you can enable is “Chop-chop”. By moving your hand in a chopping fashion, you will trigger the flashlight on or off on the device.
Only two colours are currently available for the G5 Plus, Lunar Gray and Fine Gold. It is now available for pre-order from Lazada Malaysia, starting from today until the 4th of June, on Lenovo Smartphone Official Store (www.lazada.com.my/lenovo-mobile) and DirectD Official Store (www.lazada.com.my/directd-official-store/).
