Last Thursday, we were treated with a new way to watch our favourite Astro content wherever we go with Astro GO, previously known as Astro on the GO. It also features some much needed improvements from its predecessor.

Improvements come in the form of more content and better user interface was highlighted during the announcement. With three new channels that can only be accessed on Astro GO – Comedy Central, K-Plus and ANIPLUS. Comedy Central is a comedy channel that’s famous for the South Park series, Tosh.0, and Comedy Central Roast. As for K-Plus, it is the ultimate Korean entertainment channel that features exclusive shows and movies from Korea. Lastly, we have the ANIPLUS, a 24-hour channel that’s focused on broadcasting the latest anime that’s available on Astro GO. Aside from the three new channels, Astro has also expanded on the library of their on-the-go content. Channels ranging from Celestial Movies, Nickelodeon, DIVA and AXN are now available on Astro GO.

Astro GO will now be the Home of Sports for all your Sports needs. With 16 Sports channels available to you on-the-go, you can now watch your favourite fixtures worry-free. Sports Control, which will be made available soon, is a feature that allows you to playback your favourite fixtures, zoom in and out via a multi angled-camera, have access to the latest news, player rankings and league tables, all on the palm of your hand.

In addition, Astro now offers all Astro customers, who have registered and linked their Astro Go account, free viewing of all TV channels and on demand content on Astro GO, regardless of their Astro packages, with exceptions of Pay Per View and Premium ala carte sports. La La Land, one of the best movies of 2016, can be watched on-the-go for free on the 25th of April to the 31st of May as an added sweetener for Astro customers. Up to 71 Channels and 23,000 on demand titles are available on the Astro GO.

Astro GO also features HD viewings on all Sports and Korean channels with no added charge. An extra Download2Go feature is also added for users. So you can now download your favourite TV shows or on demand content at home via Wi-fi, then watch it offline outside without incurring any extra data charges. Astro GO payment or subscription package will be announced in the near future, and we will let you know as soon as we do.
