Samsung Malaysia Electronics enters the competitive gaming scene with the launch of its latest curved CFG70 Gaming Monitor, which utilises Samsung’s Quantum Dot Technology, improving the delivery of a highly impactful and immersive visual experience accompanied by one of the fastest moving picture response time (MPRT) technology within the industry.
As the company’s first curved gaming monitor to feature quantum dot technology, the CFG70 monitor expresses brilliant and accurate colours across a 125 percent sRGB spectrum. This added luminance produces a 3,000:1 contrast ratio and amplifies previously hidden gaming details in both light and dark settings.
“Our Quantum Dot display gaming monitor creates an unprecedented visual experience that no gamer has ever experienced. Optimised on breaking boundaries and bringing lifelike picture quality, the CFG70 is an incredible leverage for gamers to have especially when competing in the growing popularity of e-Sports,” said Lee Sang Hoon, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
The CFG70 features an industry-best 1,800R curvature and a 178-degree ultra-wide viewing angle. It also sports complementary sound-interactive LED lighting that further creates a lifelike presentation and keeps users focused during the most intense of moments. The CFG70 also uses an advanced VA panel, and is the first curved monitor to produce a 1ms moving picture response time. The rapid MPRT rate reduces display transitions between moving and animated objects, and in turn eliminates potential visual distractions.
The CFG70 also leverages integrated AMD FreeSync Technology over HDMI to sync the screen’s 144Hz refresh rate with users’ AMD graphics cards. Samsung takes it a step further and includes a dedicated gaming interface with an intuitive settings dashboard to better allow gamers to modify and personalise their gameplay settings. Each CFG70 monitor also offers a series of hotkeys on the front and back of the display for users to easily adjust gameplay settings.
To further inspirer games immersion, each CFG70 monitor undergoes rigorous pre-shipment calibration. This process optimises various settings, including contrast ratios, black gamma levels for enhanced brightness and white balance levels for temperature management. As a result, gamers can enjoy a sharp and brilliant picture regardless of the game being played.
