Budget Gaming At Its Finest

If you’ve been a big fan of the GTX950 from before, the GTX 1050Ti will definitely suit you as well. The GTX 1050 Ti enters the fray and becomes one of the best budget gaming cards in the market right now. MSI knows that gamers these days want the best, so once again they slapped their Twin Frozr cooler on the card providing gamers what they want.

The MSI GTX 1050 Ti GAMING X sports the latest Twin Frozr VI cooler that we have come to love. On the cooler we have MSI’s Torx 2.0 fans that help exhaust heat quietly which works together with the Twin Frozr cooler to provide a cool yet quiet gaming experience. Like other graphic cards with the Twin Frozr cooler, it has ZeroFrozr which keeps the graphic card completely silent during idle or light gaming, and pumps the speeds up when it detects temperatures rising above a threshold.

The graphics card comes factory clocked at 1354MHz base and 1468MHz boost clock, under the Gaming Mode profile. You can download the MSI Gaming App to switch between the OC Mode and Silent Mode profile for either the extra boost in performance, or to have a cooler and more silent experience albeit at lower performance. Taking a brief look at its performance, we can tell like the GTX 950 the GTX 1050 Ti was aimed for the MOBA gamers.

MOBA games like League of Legends and DoTA have some hefty graphic requirements when pumping up the settings to their maximum, and gamers are hardly able to resist not having the best graphics at their disposal. We were easily able to get a constant 60fps and above when it came to the MOBA games we mentioned earlier, but were also able to play some of the newer games like Overwatch at a constant 60fps as well.

Although aimed for the MOBA gamer market, the GTX 1050 Ti performs way better than its intended market, and at a lower power consumption. The MSI GTX 1050 Ti GAMING X only requires a single 6-pin power connector, this is mainly for powering the Twin Frozr cooler so MSI can provide the best overclocking and cooling experience for their gamers.

CHIP CONCLUDE: The MSI GTX 1050 Ti GAMING X is one of the best budget graphic cards out on the market right now, and the Twin Frozr VI cooler on it just gives it another reason why you should get it if you’re in the market for a budget card.
