Under immense pressure, 8 teams from different countries came to Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios, Johor, Malaysia to compete in the CS:GO Minor Championship Asia. The tournament was a joint collaboration by eGG Network and PGL, held from October 28 to October 30 2016. After three days of intense battle, one team stood out among the rest in terms of skill and strategy.
Team TyLoo from China emerged victorious in the tournament and went home with a prize pool of USD30,000, and secured their spot in the offline qualifier for the next CS:GO Major (ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017) together with Team Renegades who secured the runner-up position and clinched the second place prize of USD15,000. Meanwhile, Team VG.CyberZen took third place and the prize of USD5,000.
Although not snatching a spot in the top three, teams Athletico BH, NXL, MVP Project, FireDragoon eSports, and Team BOT persevered throughout the tournament and playing their best. The passion and skill each showed during the tournament was definitely felt by the crowd, and they knew that they would only get stronger from hereon.
