AORUS, the gaming laptop arm of PC components manufacturer GIGABYTE has recently unveiled a slew of brand new updates to their machines, which includes brand new Intel Skylake processors, DDR4 RAM, M.2 SATA SSDs, as well as the latest discrete GPUs that are on offer by NVIDIA.
First of all is the AORUS X5 series of notebooks. In this line, AORUS has the X5 v5 and the X5S v5 gaming laptops, both of which are considered to be the best 15 inch gaming laptops on offer right now. The X5 v5 houses Intel’s latest 6th generation Core i7 processor, as well as a dual NVIDIA GTX 965M discrete graphics processor, which in turn helps power the notebook’s GSYNC display. Combined, the X5 v5 provides gamers with smooth, tear-free gaming all in a super-slim 22.9mm chassis that altogether weighs in at only 2.5kg.
The X5S v5 meanwhile is a counterpart to the X5 v5. While featuring a similar chassis size and weight, the X5S v5 sports a single, but powerful graphics solution in the form of an NVIDIA GTX 980M. Not only that, AORUS has also unveiled the X5 Limited Edition. Sporting a Multicam camo design, this notebook is for those who want a bit more sophistication to go with their gaming machines.
Need a desktop-replacement machine? AORUS also has got you covered with the AORUS X7 Pro v5. Focused on raw performance, the X7 Pro v5 sports a 6th generation Intel Core i7 processor, along with two NVIDIA GTX 970M in SLI mode for the best performance a gaming laptop can provide you with. Similar to the X5 v5, the X7 Pro v5 also features a 17.3 inch display with NVIDIA GSYNC technology that allows you to game as smoothly as possible.
Despite being marketed as a desktop replacement machine, much like the X5 v5, the X7 Pro v5 is also a super slim gaming notebook, measuring at just 23.9mm in thickness, while weighing in at a reasonable 3kg.
Looking for something that’s a bit more compact than the other two notebooks? The AORUS X3 Plus v5 might just be the notebook for you. Despite its comparatively smaller size, the X3 Plus v5 packs a mighty punch in the form of a 6th generation Intel Core i7 processor, as well as an NVIDIA GTX 970M GPU. Similar in thickness to the AORUS X5 v5, the X3 Plus v5 weighs in at just 1.8kg, which is an ideal weight to bring the notebook around. What’s even more impressive is that the 13.0 inch display also sports a large QHD+ resolution, allowing you to game with great detail.
All of AORUS’ new gaming notebook offerings also come with the AORUS Fusion Keyboard, which the company calls the world’s first per-key backlit laptop keyboard, fully customizable with animated illumination effects, along with the ability to be programmed to light up only the required keys depending on the scenario. Not only that, it also integrates the ability to program each individual key with macros or shortcuts, making it the most advanced keyboard on any laptop.
