Acer Malaysia has released the new Predator Gaming series that was first announced in IFA a few months ago. With a total of eight new products, Acer announced the release of two desktops, two laptops, three monitors, and a tablet for mobile gaming.

“With this new addition to our already extensive portfolio of products in Malaysia, we hope this cross-platform offering of Predator gaming series will bring powerful and out of this world gaming experience to its users. The dedication, talent, passion of our R&D team and valuable professional insights from members of TeamAcer eSports is set to deliver the best-in-class experience for serious gamers whom we call the Predator Tribe,” said Ricky Tan, Managing Director of Acer Sales & Services Sdn. Bhd.

First, there are the new desktops: The Acer Predator G6 and G3. Powerful machines sporting Intel’s 6th Gen Core processor and NVIDIA’s GeForce GPU, the G6 and G3 have the Acer IceTunnel feature to keep the desktops’ internals cool. When it’s time to game, users can overclock the G6 with the “One-Punch Overclocking” button to boost performance. Besides that, the G6 also has the SoundBlaster X-Fi MB5 audio equaliser to amplify certain types of sound like footsteps and dialogue. The Acer Predator G3 won’t be out till January 2016, but the G6 is not available for the price of RM8,999.

This is the Predator G6. It has a pull-out tab for you to hang your headset, very handy for keeping your table neat.

Next up, the Acer Predator 15 and 17 laptops. Also, equipped with an Intel Skylake processor, NVIDIA’s GeForce Mobile series of GPU, and DDR4 memory, these laptops use the Predator FrostCore feature to lower operating temperatures by using the unique swappable fan module made in partnership with Cooler Master. Moreover, the Predator 15 and 16 haves features such as the PredatorSense gaming control panel, backlit keyboard, Killer DoubleShot network system, and the Predator SoundPound. The Acer Predator 15 and 17 both come in two types of configuration, with prices from RM6,999 onwards.

The Predator 17 has backlit keys and even a numpad.

Three new gaming monitors were also launched, ranging from 27 to 35-inch sizes. Having won several awards in the recent months, the new Predator gaming monitors include the 35-inch Predator Z35, XB1 and X34. All three models have the GameView technology for fast toggling of customised display profiles, high refresh rates, and NVIDIA G-Sync to eliminate screen tearing. The new monitors prices range from RM2,599 onwards.

The awesome Z35 has a high maximum refresh rate of 200 Hz and NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology. Combining these two features ensures that you experience no screen tearing while gaming.

Lastly, Acer also launched the new Predator 8 gaming tablet that sports a beautiful aluminium body with red accents at the corners. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by an Intel Atom CPU. The retail price of the Acer Predator 8 is RM1,499.

The red-accented four corners of the Predator 8 contain speakers, making gaming and entertainment on this tablet really enjoyable.
