Firing Shots With The VIBE Shot

Cameras are a must these days on smartphones, because every day there is something new and amazing happening around us. A smartphone is something most people would have in this generation, and without a camera how are we to capture these great moments in our lives? Getting into the shooting vibe, Lenovo has sent us a phone targeting those who wish to capture more even with something small.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 which sports 4x Cortex-A53 cores at 1.7GHz and another 4x Cortex-A53 cores at 1.0GHz the VIBE Shot makes multi-tasking a breeze. Further powered by 3GB of RAM the VIBE Shot navigates applications and menu smoothly with close to no-lag, and 32GB of internal storage should keep you satisfied unless you’re someone who takes a lot of pictures, well fret not as the VIBE Shot’s storage can be expanded up to an additional 128GB through microSD. And lest we forget, the phone features a 5-inch Full HD IPS display which displays vibrant and sharp images.

Just out of the box, the VIBE Shot gives off a nice luxurious aura, not only that it looks and feels like you have a camera in your hands. The dedicated shutter button is placed conveniently in corner of the phone, with a toggle switch right next to it to switch between Auto and Pro modes for the camera. Speaking of the camera, the VIBE Shot uses a 16MP which features optical image stabilisation and a triple-LED (dual-tone) flash. The pictures we took came out excellent and the dedicated shutter button makes the photo taking experience that much more enjoyable.

The front camera is an 8MP camera that allows for panaromic selfies, and not to mention, supports Full HD video for those long distance video chats with friends and family. Even in low-light conditions both the front and rear camera performs satisfyingly with its quick autofocus, focusing quickly even in the dim conditions. What we found a little off was the auto-brightness function which we felt always dims the display a bit too much to our liking, though in a way it saves more battery. Battery life is amazing on the VIBE Shot easily lasting a full day even with WiFi and Mobile Data on, thanks to its non-removable 3000mAh battery.

CHIP CONCLUDE: Light and slim the VIBE Shot does a great job in what it was set out to do, stylish and suave is what describes it. The phone takes great pictures which you wouldn’t be embarrassed to show your friends and families and does very well to catch those fast and quick moments with its fast autofocus.
