MSI recently announced the availability of the MSI R9 Nano 4G. It is AMD’s most innovative and advanced GPU to date, featuring AMD’s latest High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) that delivers 60% more memory bandwidth than GDDR5, and a 4096 bit memory interface that promises incredible advances in power and efficiency.
The R9 Nano 4G comes clocked at 1000MHz on its core, and 4GB of HBM clocked in at 1000MHz with a rated power consumption of 175W. It is designed and engineered with 4K and VR gaming in mind, including support for DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.5 and Vulkan API. Thanks to AMD’s Eyefinity technology, combined with the use of a DisplayPort MST Hub, up to 6 monitors can be used for gaming simultaneously and experience buttery smooth 4K gameplay with FreeSync-enabled monitors. The R9 Nano 4G is AMD Crossfire-ready, combining great performance all in a 6-inch small form factor graphics card.
MSI recommends the combination of the AMD R9 Nano 4G and the MSI Z170I GAMING PRO AC to build an extremely compact yet powerful gaming machine. Despite its size, the motherboard packs a ton of gaming features including DDR4 Boost, Audio Boost 3 and MSI GAMING LAN, so why settle for anything less than high-end hardware for a portable gaming system.
While small form factor PC’s are still quite a niche market, AMD and MSI are ready to cover even the most specialized of markets to show their dedication to gaming.
