Managing Director of HappyFresh Malaysia, Opal Wu says “Online shopping is fast gaining traction and is a huge trend these days. There are many online shopping apps available in the market, however, most of them do not offer same-day delivery. At HappyFresh, our promise is not just to get your groceries to you on the same day, if you like to we will have it delivered to your doorstep in as little as one hour.”
Using professionally-trained personal shoppers stationed at each supermarket, HappyFresh ensures only the freshest and highest quality items are selected, and delivered with large orders being delivered either by multiple drivers on motorcycles or cars and taxis. In the event an item is unavailable or out of stock, HappyFresh shoppers will contact the customer to suggest replacements or to cancel items. Once delivered, customers will be able to pay by credit card, debit card, cash and HappyFresh will also offer free returns at the door for customers that are unsatisfied with any item that were picked.
Each HappyFresh personal shopper is professionally trained to pick only the ripest and freshest produce and items, not to mention undergoing background checks to build trust and to ensure the safety of each HappyFresh customer. HappyFresh currently has over 90 shoppers and drivers spread out across Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley, mainly in Puchong, Petaling Jaya and is collaborating with 9 partner stores on the platform and is looking for 100% coverage in the Klang Valley area in the near future.
The HappyFresh app also introduces Happy Recipe, a feature wherein customers are able to browse and add ingredients for entire recipes into their shopping carts.
