After a short wait period, Xiaomi finally announced and launched their flagship model, the Mi Note in Malaysia. Redefining the large-screen market locally, the Mi Note brings together a solid list of features into a good looking package.

Steve Vickers, General Manager, Xiaomi Southeast Asia, said: “We are truly excited to bring Mi Note, Xiaomi’s most beautifully designed flagship, to Malaysia. We believe that Mi fans in Malaysia will appreciate such high quality innovation made available to them at an incredible price.”

The Mi Note features Qualcomm’s quad-core, Snapdragon 801 at its heart – and paired with both 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage – so you will never complaint about your storage needs again. Despite its ultra-thin 6.95mm frame, Mi Note has been fitted with a 3000mAh Sony/LG 4.4V high density Li-ion battery. It also comes with Quick Charge 2.0, which charges up to 75% faster than conventional methods.

For the display, Xiaomi took a couple of features from their other models, and added it to the 5.7” Sharp/JDI-sourced full HD display, which boasts a contrast ratio of 1400:1. The extra features includes Xiaomi’s Sunlight Display technology that ensures a crystal-clear view of the screen even under harsh sunlight.

For high-quality pictures, Mi Note is equipped with a 13MP f/2.0 rear camera that comes with mechanical Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) system. Xiaomi also has designed the camera to be flush with the back of the phone. The front 4MP camera meanwhile features 2-micron large pixels for better image capture, especially in selfies.

If the phone need to be in your pocket right now, you have to wait, as it will be on sale at on the 28th of July. For the specs that Xiaomi has presented in the phone the retail price is astounding, as Xiaomi is retailing the phone at only RM 1,549, with GST. Xiaomi also will be teaming up with telcos to offer the Mi Note to new and returning customers, paired with enticing packages.
