Camera fans rejoice, as Canon has announced two new models as part of their DSLR line-up – the new EOS 750D and the EOS 760D. They also announced a new living-room based photo sharing solution – the Connect Station CS100.

The two new models comprises of the 750D – aimed at casual users, and the 760D – aimed at a more enthusiast level consumer. The two camera is the company’s highest resolution shooter so far – with a 24.2 megapixel sensor under the hood. When paired with the latest DIGIC 6 image processor – it promises superb image quality with each shot. New in the camera are features such as the new Hybrid CMOS AF II System for sharp focussing in both normal and Live-view, HDR movie recording mode, MP4 recording option for smaller file size which is suitable for the net, and also built-in WiFi for wireless image transfers.

As a companion to the two cameras, Canon also announced the new Connect Station CS100. The Connect Station CS100 is a convenient one-stop platform for image sharing with friends and families. When connected to any modern television (TV) via HDMI cable, users will get to appreciate the fine and subtle details of a well-taken photograph as well as enjoy smooth playback of user-captured high bit-rate movies. With both WiFi and NFC connectivity – it can be accessed both via the camera through the Canon Image Gateway, or through the Canon app for the smartphone, or via any web browser.

The cameras are already available on the market, with prices as follows:

  • EOS 760D (Body only) – RM2,899.00 (inclusive of 6% GST)
  • EOS 760D (EFS18-135 IS STM) – RM4,399.00 (inclusive of 6% GST)
  • EOS 750D (Body only) – RM2,599.00 (inclusive of 6% GST)
  • EOS 750D (EFS 18-55 IS STM) – RM3,199.00 (inclusive of 6% GST)
  • EOS 750D (EFS 18-135 IS STM) – RM4,099.00 (inclusive of 6% GST)

The Connect Station CS100 will be available from June 2015 onwards with the price to be announced later on
