A Boost In Signal

There are times when we drive into an area, we lose calls and sometimes even our network coverage. This is a problem that the WeBoost Drive intends to solve as it helps extend and improve your 3G coverage in areas with low signals.

The setup for the device takes some installation as it comes with a phone holder, a mini-magnet antenna, a DC power plug in supply, vehicle dash adhesive mounting bracket and adjustable arms. It takes some manoeuvring around your car to get the device set up as you would have to set the wires accordingly in order to reduce clutter space. The holder has a miniUSB port located on the bottom for convenient phone charging. The phone cradle however, does not support larger phones like the Samsung Note series and phablets.

This device features the ability to boost the signal of your 3G data and cellular data of your mobile device in areas that have low signals. This is done through the phone cradle when your smartphone is attached to it. Additionally, the cradle also helps extend the battery life of your phone as it charges your device when it is cradled. The signal boosts also works for all devices across all carriers making it convenient for all mobile users.

The device was tested for its range of signal boosts and during our tests, it provided mixed results. The signal boosts showed gradual improvement in open areas, however, if you were to drive into an area with low coverage and is surrounded with high rise buildings, the signal boosts shows little improvement in terms of coverage. A good thing to note however, is how this device can also be installed for home use in a room to help extend odd angles within your house that has limited network coverage and extends the signals.

CHIP CONCLUDE: This is definitely a unique yet useful device to have if you are constantly on the road and are always on call. The WeBoost Drive would be definitely a boon for those road warriors out there who needs an extra boost in coverage.
