If you love free stuff and love The Sims, it is a very good day to be you as Electronic Arts is giving away their classic, The Sims 2 for free through their digital content distribution platform, Origin. You want have to spend a cent, dime, dollar or Simoleon to get the base game and every one of its expansion and stuff pack.

This promo was announced alongside the announcement that EA will no longer support The Sims 2, which means there will no longer be new content or technical fixes for the game. With that said though, EA will continue to offer support for those who contact the company for help. Those who bought the game will also be getting a free upgrade to the Ultimate Collection.

So how do you get this fun classic? First off, you of course have to have an EA Origin account, if you don’t sigh up here. Setting it up will take less than a minute. Once you have your account, download the Origin client & install it. Once done, access the client and select the “Redeem Product Code” option from the menu and then enter the code I-LOVE-THE-SIMS. Once all that is done not only will you get the base Sims 2 game but also:
