Sexy Red Hot Machine
Fujitsu hasn’t been slacking off when it comes to notebook releases of late, and for those who are looking for a simple but stylish notebook, they need to look no further than the Fujitsu SH782 notebook.
Powered by Intel’s 3rd Generation Core i-series processor and 4GBs of RAM, the SH782 features a 13.3-inch SuperFine HD LED backlit display, at a resolution of 1,366×768 pixels, and packs 500GBs of storage space, although there are a wide variety of other options as well, including those with an SSD for a fast-booting system. In terms of input and output ports, the SH782 includes three USB 3.0 ports, a HDMI and VGA port for video output, one LAN port and surprisingly, a DVD drive too.
If nothing else, the Fujitsu SH782 is quite the looker. The outer chassis is decked in hot rod red, and its metallic sheen oozes class every time we take it out of the bag to do some work on it. The interior, once the lid is opened is covered in all black, which does combine well with the metallic red from the outside, we would say.
Performance-wise, the Fujitsu SH782 is no slouch at all, with Intel’s Ivy Bridge processor running things at the back. We were able to do work, watch HD movies and even play a few games here and there without the notebook batting so much as an eyelid at the tasks it’s been given.
Battery life is another impressive feature of the notebook as we managed to get about six to seven hours out of a single charge, whilst using it continuously for work, watching videos and using the internet.
Having said that, we do wish that the keyboard travel on the SH782 was a tad bit deeper, as typing on the notebook for a considerable period of time did leave us with sore fingers.
CHIP CONCLUDE: If you’re looking for a simple, portable notebook computer to bring around with you, you can’t go wrong with the Fujitsu SH782 notebook. It has great performance, an excellent battery life, and most importantly, stylish looks!
